Innoruuk's plane of black rage. One of the three Classic tri-plane raid zones, a defining Classic EverQuest raid experience.

Plane of Hate (PoH) is Innoruuk's plane — a raid zone of black rage where the god of hate's servants guard his throne. Alongside Plane of Fear and Plane of Sky, PoH is one of the three Classic tri-plane raid zones and a defining Classic EverQuest raid experience.

Plane of Hate is also a destination for multiple Epic 1.0 chains — Paladin, Shadow Knight, Cleric, and Necromancer all have kills in PoH as part of their Epic progression.

Geography

PoH is a large open zone with multiple temples and rage-themed architecture.

Entry area

Where the raid arrives. Initial patrols of Innoruuk-servants. Gear check.

Hate Temple

Central chamber with named Innoruuk clerics and SKs. Multiple class-specific drops. Mini-boss encounters.

Maestro's Chamber

A named Maestro encounter — undead lich-lord of Hate. Drops include Dark Elf crafted armor components.

Innoruuk's Throne (zone boss)

The final raid encounter. Innoruuk himself is a multi-phase fight with:

  • Summoned undead adds throughout.
  • Debuffs on the tank requiring rapid cleric rotation.
  • Drops Innoruuk's Curse component (used in Warrior and SK Epic chains).
  • Class-specific raid armor.

PoH is a Epic 1.0 destination for multiple classes:

  • Cleric Epic — Innoruuk himself or a named servant.
  • Paladin Epic — undead-slay proc component drop.
  • Shadow Knight Epic — Innoruuk's Curse component.
  • Necromancer Epic — undead-themed quest step.

Access (Hate Access)

PoH requires a Hate Access flag, obtained through the Sky Access / Hate Access questline (see Sky Access). The chain involves a multi-step quest across Antonica and Kunark, culminating in a raid kill that grants the flag.

Raid significance

Plane of Hate is one of the entry-level raid zones for Crushbone — guilds typically clear PoH before ToV or Plane of Time. It's the training ground where raid coordination is learned.

Pull mechanics

PoH trash is aggressive and high-level. Main tank holds the named; off-tanks manage summoned adds; clerics rotate heals. Enchanter mez keeps add spawns locked down during boss transitions.

Getting there

Via the Hate Access flag chain (Classic era flagging system). After flagging, access via PoK or the portal scroll for the plane.
