PoK Hub Guide

How to use Plane of Knowledge — trainers, merchants, portals, and where to find what.

Plane of Knowledge is the center of everything on Crushbone. Within 90 seconds of walking through the portal, you should be able to bank, train, buy spells, sell junk, and port to any starting city.

Your first PoK visit

When you arrive (via a book in your starting city), you land in PoK's center. Walk in any direction and you'll hit something useful within 30 seconds.

What you do in PoK

Bank

  • Locate the bank (multiple bankers across the zone). Deposit coin, store items.
  • Bank access is shared with your home city.

Train

  • Every class has a trainer in PoK. For custom race-class combos, PoK training bypasses your racial-city faction problem.
  • Raise skill caps, buy new spells.

Buy spells

  • Spell merchants stock most class-accessible spells.
  • Some class-restricted spells still require trip to the racial guild.

Buy / sell gear

  • Standard merchants sell basic equipment.
  • Trade-in any common vendor trash here.

Port

  • Each major starting city has a portal stone in PoK. Click to travel.
  • No cooldown, no cost.

Meet up

  • PoK is the canonical LFG / social hub. /ooc in PoK is always active.

Efficient PoK run for a new character

Your first PoK visit should take 10 minutes:

  1. Walk through the portal.
  2. Find your class trainer. Raise skills to cap. Buy any spells you can afford.
  3. Find the bank. Deposit any copper/silver you've collected.
  4. Find a merchant. Sell vendor trash.
  5. Scan /ooc for groups.
  6. Take the stone home (or bind in PoK if you're level 15+).

What you do NOT do in PoK

  • XP. ZEM is 0. No experience here.
  • Quest turn-ins for Epic 1.0. Most Epics require racial-city turn-ins.
  • Racial armor crafting. Racial guilds still have exclusive recipes.

PoK bind strategy

  • Levels 1-15: Bind in your starting city for corpse-recovery proximity.
  • Levels 15+: Consider binding in PoK for travel efficiency.
  • High-level raid characters: Usually bind in Plane of Tranquility for PoP-era corpse convenience.

Notes on Crushbone's PoK

Crushbone has run two cleanups on PoK to reduce NPC density. The cleanups removed decorative NPCs but preserved:

  • All class trainers.
  • All standard merchants.
  • All portal stones.
  • The bank.
  • The Library.
  • Rusty and the Crushbone GM Guild.
